Sana Tsukomo - Graduation Thoughts

One of my favorite Vtubers graduated today - Sana Tsukumo. I'm still pretty emotional after watching her last stream ever, but she's one of those people who's just really so sweet and comforting that although others and I will miss her we know that she'll be moving on to do even better things. She mentioned in her stream how much being in Hololive helped her self-esteem and gave her a well-needed support group - more than just her coworkers, but true friends. The lyrics to original song "Astrogirl" feels more about her own struggles and her journey more than ever before.

When Sana first debuted, I instantly fell in love with her design. Her space motif, her kind attitude, her accent and how she presents herself. I did brush her off a bit compared to her other genmates, but when I caught one of her astrology streams she kinda became a sleeper hit for me. All her genmates really stand out on their own and all of their own special magic, but there was always something about Sana that was so different. A kind-hearted cinnamon roll who's a bit dorky when she gets wild but always tries her best to be an entertainer in her own special way. Even with her endurance streams, which she is so wild for doing, she kept pushing all the way through and made it fun. Whether it be a one hour stream or a twelve, it was always a joy to watch.

When she took breaks because of the various bad things beyond her control that happened to her, the community she fostered was just as kind-hearted and patience as she was to them. Someone drew art of the Sanalite mascot but as Hachiko, the dog waiting for its owner, and that's exactly spot on. No matter where she goes, the Sanalites will always remember the joy she brought them, and although it's sad we know to carry on and honor her wish to support the rest of Hololive, especially then EN crew.

I'm so happy she came into my life, in my time of need. Perhaps fate, perhaps destiny, and perhaps her arrival was something "written in the stars". But she brought upon very power lessons, and her life story is something that I take inspiration from. In a way, it's similar to my own. I'm still a work in progress, but seeing her improve and take on the world despite all the challenges makes me thing I can push on as well.

So thank you, Sana. Thank you for making a stop on Earth. Take care, Astrogirl. HoloEN-Alum.
